Resiliency Riders raise $1000 for women’s mental health

On June 22nd, 20 Richmond employees plus some friends and family rode in the Ride Don’t Hide event, supporting women’s mental health.

The event is held across Canada by the Canadian Mental Health Association & Shopper’s Drug Mart and this year’s ride in Vancouver was the largest, with 1200 riders in Vancouver alone. Participants either rode 10km, 20km or 60km supporting the cause.

Our team was called the ‘Richmond Resiliency Riders’ and we raised over $1000 for the event. We had riders in all categories and we all had a blast.

The Canadian Mental Health Association has reached 89% of their goal to raise $761 000 across Canada and will continue to accept donations until August 2014.

The day was very well organized and we enjoyed great pre-ride breakfasts, post-ride lunches, live music and guest speakers, all put on by the event.

We hope to put together a team for next year as it was such a great day.
