Vancouver’s own among “world’s most influential scientific minds”

Two Vancouver physicians – Drs. Ian Mackenzie and Howard Feldman – have been named among “The World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds,” a list of more than 3,000 researchers in 21 fields. Compiled by Thomson Reuters, the list is comprised of scientists whose numbers of citations were in the top 1 per cent in their field during the year of publication.

“Everyone acknowledged in this book is a person of influence in the sciences and social sciences,” reads the introduction to the list. “They are the people who are on the cutting edge of their fields. They are performing and publishing work that their peers recognize as vital to the advancement of their science. These researchers are, undoubtedly, among the most influential scientific minds of our time.”

Working in the field of Neuroscience and Behaviour, Drs. Ian Mackenzie and Howard Feldman aren’t the only VCH physicians to make the list. Dr. Lakshmi Yatham, Regional Program Medical Director, Mental Health and Addiction Services, is recognized as well.

Please congratulate all on this impressive honour.

    Hey, what can I say.

Impressed, admiring, super – all the better to serve us. Apart from having an amazing scientific mind, I’m sure you are great people, to. You would not be in the ‘helping’ profession.

and thank you to all of you, your mind and whoever raised and nourished you.
