A heartfelt thank you for your feedback

We’d like to send everyone a heartfelt thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. We sent a survey to all 363 people who registered with CCRS for our October Vancouver All-Staff Forum, and we’re pleased to say that 133 or 37% responded.

Who answered the survey

Close to half of all survey participants work within Vancouver Community, as shown below. And, about 64% of all survey participants are frontline staff. We’re also pleased that some of our Lower Mainland Consolidated colleagues participated. We welcome all our partners in care in Vancouver to join the forums.

What you told us

More than half of all survey participants (52%) agree that attending the forum was a good use of their time, while one-quarter don’t feel strongly one way or the other (responding neutral). In addition, almost half (49%) say they believe Vancouver’s senior leaders are listening to staff, while 21% remain neutral. Overall, we’re on the right track, and we aim to keep getting better, especially when it comes to answering your questions.

 ASF participant experience results

One-third of survey participants agree that we’re answering questions to their satisfaction, while 22% don’t feel strongly either way — and we want to improve upon those numbers. In reading the comments submitted, it’s clear that staff appreciate the opportunity to ask questions and your interest isn’t cursory. Many of you have thoughtful questions and you’re seeking detailed, substantive answers. We appreciate that and aim to do just that. In synthesizing answers for often complex questions, however, we’re hearing that we sometimes miss the mark. And, in some cases, we’re limited in what we can share — as explained in our November 28 article When will the other shoe drop? — but that doesn’t mean we won’t keep trying to do our best.

Where we go from here

We want you to know that we’re taking your feedback to heart, and we’ll continue working to make All-Staff Forums better and better. Our next forum is in January and we’ll be looking for your input on the agenda early in the new year.

In the meantime, we’re still taking questions, and you can always email us.
