Special Delivery: VCH News email subscription
VCH News now includes an email subscription feature which allows anyone to add an email address of their choice to the distribution list in order to receive Thursday’s e-News summary in their non-VCH email inbox.
Why do we need this?
We heard from some employees who, through lower mainland consolidation, now work at a facility in one health authority and have an email address for another. VCH News is automatically sent to all VCH email addresses each Thursday, but does not reach those with HSSBC, Fraser Health or Providence Health email addresses, for example. This subscription feature provides a way for those staff to receive VCH News, if they wish.
How does it work?
To receive VCH News in another inbox, simply scroll to the bottom of this page, enter the email address in the Newsletter field and click the orange Subscribe button. A confirmation email will be sent to the address entered and, once it’s confirmed by clicking a link in the confirmation email, that email will be added to the distribution list. Recipients can also Unsubscribe at any time.
Doesn’t this mean anyone could get VCH News?
In a word… yes. Anyone can now add themselves to the list and receive the Thursday e-News summary. This may seem unusual to share our internal newsletter with non-VCH employees, but it is in keeping with the VCH values and principles of open and transparent communication internally and externally. As a public organization, any information in our internal newsletter is considered public information.
