A husband’s heartfelt thank you
What does providing best care look like?
According to one patient’s husband, a friendly, caring and encouraging clinical care team. VGH received the following letter praising Dr. Dianne Miller and team for their impressive care and compassion. We wish the letter writer and his recovering wife well.
Dear Sirs/Madams, Dr. Miller and her team operated on my wife in the VGH. We had never been to the VGH before (thankfully!!), and I was very impressed with the whole set up. The atmosphere was so cheerful and friendly from all we encountered. Dr. Miller is a very special person. To see her is to like her – let alone the reassurance her mere presence brings. She took the trouble to brief me fully pre- and post-operation; it was a great comfort to me, as I was very anxious since the problem was cancer-related. And that very word strikes fear into most hearts. Her team was in the same vein: caring, encouraging, cheerful – and oh so professional. My wife is hopefully on her way to a full recovery – thanks to Dr. Miller and her team. Let alone all the other wonderful people who looked after her – pre- and post-operation (Orthopaedic Trauma area). I am sure Dr. Miller and her team get many, many accolades, but there may be few as sincerely and heartfelt as mine.
