Teamwork in Critical Care impresses Pharmacy Resident

In a recent blog post, Pharmacy Resident Joyce Cheng wrote the following about her rotation in the ICU at Richmond Hospital:

Last week, I completed my ICU rotation at Richmond Hospital.

The amount of team work in critical care practice greatly impressed me. Almost daily, there is active, well-rationalized discussion during rounds. Attending physician, internal medicine resident, nurses, dietician, respiratory therapist, and pharmacist come together as a team to solve critical issues. Each one of the team member had something important to contribute. As a resident, I learned different things from each of the team member that will be valuable in my practice.

Finally, big thanks to my preceptor Rob, Richmond ICU team, and Richmond pharmacy staff! I felt very welcomed at Richmond and each one of you taught me something important to take away!
