Staff, patients and others are invited to a free public forum in the LGH Gym this Thursday (Sept. 6) to help kick off Arthritis Awareness Month. The event will look at topics such as:
- the many types of arthritis
- how the diseases are diagnosed and treated,
- the myths associated with arthritis
The forum will be led by rheumatologist Dr. Simon Huang and feature a panel discussion, moderated by Dr. Catherine Dewar. The event will take place today (Thursday, Sept. 6) from 6: 30 to 8: 30 p.m. in the Lions Gate Hospital gym and interested participants can register by phoning 604-714-5550.
The Arthritis Society, Lions Gate Hospital Arthritis Clinic and the Osteoarthritis Service Integration System (OASIS) have partnered together on the event.
