“Felt welcome as soon as we walked in”

My husband moved into the Special Care Unit (SCU) of Richmond Lion’s Manor on August 20, 2013. We felt so welcome by everyone we met as soon as we walked into the building.

All the staff on the SCU, from the manager, Kathy Wong, to the nurses, Rosa Cabrera, Christina Tsang, Jane Castillo, as well as all the care aides, Amanda Hansen (physiotherapist), and Dan Han (occupational therapist) make all efforts to ensure he gets as much attention and care as possible to promote his independence and to deal with his challenging behaviour on numerous occasions.

They are all dedicated staff who provide comfort and safe care to my husband, with respect and dignity. They are also caring, patient and empathetic.

I am so relieved and thankful that my husband, who has advanced dementia, is living in Richmond Lions Manor and being looked after by a dedicated and caring team.

Sincerely
