How to use your news

In the recent reader survey of VCH News, there were many comments around access to the newsletter. We thought we’d share some information and tips about how to access the news and what to do if you run into problems.

  • VCH News is on the Internet. It is NOT on VCH Connect. Anyone can access it anytime, from any computer or mobile device that has access to the Internet. Just go to vchnews.ca.
  • You don’t need to go through VCH webmail to access VCH News. Just go to vchnews.ca and click on the items you’re interested in.
  • The email you get on Thursdays contains links to articles and information on vchnews.ca. The links are meant to make is easier for you to find the news you’re interested in, but if clicking each link and having an article open in a new window is tedious you can simply browse the site itself at vchnews.ca.
  • VCH News is mobile friendly. You should be able to go to vchnews.ca on iPhone, Android, Blackberry or iPad/tablet and view everything.
  • VCH News is social. We’ve included social media sharing buttons on all the VCH News articles to make it easy to share with others. VCH news is an employee newsletter, but VCH is a public organization and we’re proud to share our news with anyone who is interested.
  • VCH News works in all the common web browsers including Google Chrome, Safari, FireFox and Internet Explorer versions 7, 8, 9 and 10. If you have Internet Explorer 6 on your work computer (required for some clinical applications) you can request a second browser (Google Chrome Portable) through the Service Desk that will work with VCH News.

Check upcoming editions of VCH News for more information on using your news.

If you have a technical problem accessing VCH News, you can inquire through the Service Desk as to what the issue might be.
