February of staff fun raises $1,700+ for LGH Foundation

Lions Gate Hospital Foundation would like to thank everyone who came out and took part in the first-ever LGH Employee Giving Campaign this past February. With events going on all month, there were plenty of fun things to get involved with, and all for a good cause!

Total funds raised towards the purchase of a new CT scanner were more than $1,700 and substantially more smiles than that throughout the month.

Campaign highlights include:

The LGH Endoscopy Team winning our Loonie Plus Drive, raising more than $250 through a raffle and physician participation.

LGH’s first ever hospital-wide Dodgeball Tournament that took place Feb. 20 in the LGH Gym. More than 50 staff from throughout the hospital with “Can’t Dodge Physio” coming out on top! There’s always next year for the rest of us.

Six different food trucks descended on LGH every Thursday in February and served close to 1,000 meals to staff and the community, with part proceeds going towards the campaign.
