Waterworld
World Water Day March 22 focuses on the importance of freshwater. To commemorate the day, we’re putting the focus on the staff at VCH who work hard to protect our drinking water.
Drinking water officers
VCH’s drinking water officers (DWO) are committed to the protection of drinking water and preventing the spread of water-borne diseases. In addition they also work to alert and protect the public from chemical or other water contaminants.
What do they do?
Drinking Water Officers throughout the Vancouver Coastal Health approve, inspect and monitor drinking water supplies for compliance with regulatory requirements.
