We’re heartened by your feedback
We’d like to thank everyone for your feedback on January’s Vancouver All-Staff Forum. We sent a survey to all 232 people who registered with CCRS, and we’re pleased to say 25% responded.
It’s heartening to see meaningful improvement in key areas. More staff say we’re answering questions to their satisfaction, and more feel we’re listening to what you have to say. Of course, there’s always room for improvement and we’re committed to enhancing your overall forum experience.
We’re also taking your comments to heart and we’ll address some of your ideas at our next Vancouver All-Staff Forum on April 7. Register for the forum with CCRS here.

Who answered the survey
As shown in the first pie chart below, both our acute and community teams are well represented among survey participants, providing a balanced perspective. More than 60% of all survey participants are frontline staff, and we’re pleased that many of our Lower Mainland Consolidated colleagues participated, too. We welcome all our Vancouver partners in care at Vancouver’s All-Staff forums.
What you’re telling us
The profiles of survey participants in January and last October are very similar, making comparisons between the two surveys even more powerful. Here’s what you had to say:
More than half of all survey participants (54%) say they are clear on our priorities for the coming year, while 35% don’t feel strongly one way or the other (responding neutral). Our aim this year — as in all years — is to help more patients and clients remain home, or return to the comfort of home, family and friends sooner. Guided by our Home is Best philosophy, we’ll achieve these goals by focusing on two priorities: reducing unnecessary ED admissions and reducing unneeded bed days.
Compared to October, survey participants say we’re getting better at answering your questions — in fact, our results increased 18 percentage points from 33% in October to 51% in January. Sometimes, our capacity to answer questions is limited —as we explained in a previous article When will the other shoe drop? — but we’ll keep working on this.
About 60% of survey participants say they believe we’re listening — up from 49% in October. Another 19% don’t feel strongly either way. One of the reasons we conduct ASFs is to have an ongoing exchange of ideas; we want to listen as much as we share, so we’re pleased to see the improvement.
Your time is precious and we want you to feel that attending each and every All-Staff Forum is a good use of your time. About half of survey participants say attending is worth their while; about one-quarter don’t feel strongly one way or the other. We want to change that and we hope you’ll help us by continuing to share your feedback.
