Executives from Chinese Nurses Association visit Richmond
A three nurse delegation from the Chinese Nurses Association finished their six-day Canadian tour last Thursday afternoon with a stop at three Richmond health care facilities. They toured two floors of Richmond Lions Manor Bridgeport, learned about Releasing Time to Care at Richmond Hospital and met with Public Health Nurses.
The goal of their Canadian visit is to discuss community health, chronic disease and health care for the elderly within the Canadian context. Reporters from local Asian media outlets met the delegation at the end of their tour of Richmond Lions Manor-Bridgeport for brief interviews.
The Chinese Nurses Association representing 2 million nurses was admitted to the global International Council of Nurses in 2013. This trip of their President and Vice President was their first following this new membership status. It was organized in partnership with the Canadian Nurses Association.
