Kronos Employee Self Service now available

Regional Scheduling and Timekeeping is pleased to announce that VCH employees can now request access to Employee Self Service (ESS).

What is ESS?

ESS allows the ability to view your schedule, accruals, banked hours and request time off online from VCH network computers. This includes the ability to check the status of your time-off requests.

All you have to do to request access is fill out the Kronos System ESS User Access request form and obtain manager approval.

Who is ESS for?

ESS is available to all VCH employees with the exception of VCH Home Support Workers whose schedule and timecard is managed through a separate system called Procura. ESS is a new tool which units/departments are encouraged to utilize to replace the paper or electronic request forms that most areas are currently using. If you are unsure whether this is right for you, please check with your department manager.

Our Journey to ESS

Over the last five years VCH has moved from multiple timekeeping databases and paper based scheduling of staff to a single electronic system for scheduling and timekeeping.  Following the rollout of the system, the team completed an upgrade of the software to further enhance our scheduling and timekeeping platform and conducted a Pilot of Employee Self Service.
