CST Update for Week of April 14, 2014

CST Design Underway

We’ve entered week two of design for the Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST) project. CST will streamline care across our three Health Organizations and create a powerful new clinical information system that will let users generate immediate, accurate and more complete health records. Design teams include multidisciplinary professionals from across VCH, PHSA and PHC. The teams meet each week to make important decisions about how we want to do things in the future. Feedback from the teams, which include subject matter experts, has been largely positive.

Teams that have started include: Clinical Documentation, CORE, Emergency, Health Information Management/Document Imaging, Inpatient Orders & Results, Medication Management, Medical Imaging, Patient Registration, Patient Scheduling, Pharmacy Supply Chain, Provider Order Sets & Documentation, Surgery & Anesthesia, Data Management, System Integration, and Technology Infrastructure.
