CST Update for Week of April 21

Clinical & Systems Transformation (CST) is one of the biggest healthcare projects in BC’s history. Each day is a challenge, each challenge is rewarding. We’re going to create change that will have a direct positive impact on a patient’s experience in the BC healthcare system.

The CST design teams were back at work this week for their third design session. The design teams report on progress weekly to ensure they’re staying on track. The decisions being made will shape the new clinical practices and clinical information system that we will implement.

Pulse

One of the big challenges with any large project is keeping momentum. Connecting with the design teams is a good way to stay abreast of the conversations occurring about the project. The folks on the CST Change Management team are putting in motion ways to check the pulse of the project and we thought you’d like to hear how some of your colleagues, who are working on CST, are feeling. Comments included:

• Learned something new
• Started with a bang!
• Thanks for the support to get the teams up and running
• Busy, full. Head hurts – not a bad thing
• A lot of data collection
• Not as overwhelming as last week
