Patient Experience Week was spearheaded by the Beryl Institute, an international community of practice with the goal of improving the patient experiences in health care. The Beryl Institute defines patient experience as “the sum of all interactions, shaped by an organization’s culture, that influence patient perceptions across the continuum of care.”
