VCH screensavers… reloaded

No, it’s not the theatrical premiere of the latest action sequel. It’s about those messages that drift across the screens of VCH computers when they go into power saving mode.

Communications & Public Affairs is responsible for adding and removing the screensaver images from the rotation. There’s a change every few weeks or so, depending on how long messages need to run for and how many new items are coming in.

Now and then we get calls or emails in Communications from staff members saying that they are seeing old screensaver images that they thought had been removed. This is usually because the PC they are using has not been logged off and on again for a long time. Users must log out and then in again, in order for the newest screensaver images to appear.

To log off hold down the Ctrl and Alt keys and press Delete. You’ll get a screen where you can select Log Off. Then log back in and you should see the newest screensaver images.
