Minoru staff “overwhelmed” me with promptness, thoroughness and kindness

My mother recently became a member of Minoru Residence in a transfer from Lions Manor.  In anticipation of this move there was obvious anxiety felt by the family in the potentially disruptive effect that such a move would have on our mother.  Our concerns proved to be unfounded and this then is the reason for this letter.

Upon arrival at Minoru, my mother was immediately taken under the care of your admitting personnel which overwhelmed me with their promptness, thoroughness and kindness. All aspects of our mother’s needs were addressed, while also making sure that I was given genuine support and reassurance along with the appropriate written material which I subsequently found to be most helpful.

In the following days I have found the staff to be engaging, accommodating and empathetic. I am aware of the difficulties faced by all health providing institutions in delivering adequate care to those in need, however, those concerns are not evident in the manner in which your staff go about embracing with genuine compassion the needs of those, including our mother, in the final stages of their lives.

We are aware of the enormity of the responsibilities faced by the members of your team and we will endeavour to assist wherever and whenever we can.

With appreciation and on behalf of our mother and our family, I remain sincerely yours.
