Clean Commuter Challenge: Register today!

The Clean Commuter Challenge is back with more features and lots of great prizes!

Taking place between May 26 and June 13 – you can find out more here: https://bcgreencare.ca/CCC

Registration opens today!

Whether you enter as an individual or as a team, there are lots of chances to win great prizes, get active and save money on your commute.

And if you would like to enter a team, we suggest getting the details together before registering – you’ll need:

1. A name for your team
2. A short description of your team (e.g. who’s the team made up of, where the team is located…)
3. Emails for everyone on the team (minimum of 4 members, maximum of 8!)

Ready?

You can compete as an individual or as a team. We have prizes for Avoiders (those that already have a clean commute) and Reducers (those that make a change over the 3-week campaign).

The first step is to register for a GreenCare account or if you already have one, sign-in  and go straight to the Clean Commuter Challenge tracker.

Get your colleagues in on the action!

Here are some great posters you can download, email and/or print&post (on 100% recycled paper please 🙂 to get everyone you know involved!)

Click here for posters and a letter that you can share with your colleagues to get them involved!

Another fantastic way to get people involved is to add a signature to your emails.
Just copy and paste the text below into your email signature.

“I’m taking the Clean Commuter Challenge!”

Did you know?

If 15% of Lower Mainland Health Authority employees acted on the impulse to clean their commute, together we’d reduce greenhouse gas emissions by over 40 million (yes million) kilograms a year. To put that in context, that’s the weight of over 10,000 elephants!

Tell us your stories

Finally, I would love to hear your stories and profile you or your team! Please email me at Alexandra.Turnbull@vch.ca.

I’m a clean commuter by purposely living close to work. I don’t need to drive, worry about parking or safe bike lockup.
