LGH Auxiliary donation brings spring happiness to Evergreen House residents
A donation by the Lions Gate Hospital Auxiliary has brightened lives and the patio at Evergreen House in North Vancouver.
With the help of other residents, Earl Holmes has spent the last few weeks making sure the new planters are filled with spring flowers.
Holmes said he used to spend his summers in his garden and is delighted to continue gardening at Evergreen House. He said the transition to residential care was tough, but being able to garden is a huge help. “Gardening is a lot of fun and keeps me busy.”
In addition to the planters, the Auxiliary donated two patio umbrellas for use of residents who wish to enjoy the spring and summer weather.
