Quality craftsmanship and people helping others may seem like it’s in short supply some days in today’s modern world. But the recent donation of more than a dozen handmade quilts to residents such as Barbara Fairburn of North Vancouver’s Evergreen House by the Grouse Mountain Day Quilters Guild is something that should make us all appreciate that good-deed-doers are still alive and well.

Guild members donate all of their time and the recently donated the quilts (pictured above) are part of their ongoing charitable efforts that  result in them preparing about 50 quilts  each year for organizations such as Evergreen House as well as:

  • North Shore Family Services
  • North Shore Hospice
  • Evergreen House
  • LGH Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Team Mom’s & Tots

Anyone wanting to donate fabric or funds to the group, or more information about them, can go to the Grouse Mountain Day Quilters Guild web site.
