VCH is part of the Canadian Blood Services Partners For Life program. This means our organization is committed to helping hospital patients by donating blood and giving back to our community. Today, nearly 20 per cent of donations come from the Partners For life Program, a number that is growing every year.

Public Service Challenge

Canadian Blood Services is hosting the Public Service Challenge and is challenging Vancouver Coastal Health to take part by donating blood this summer from now until August 31. Make an appointment today at your nearest blood donor clinic and sign in on the challenge binder upon arrival. Also, make sure to register online as a member of VCH’s Partners for Life group and have your donation count towards our annual pledge goal of 80 units.

Why it’s important

As one of B.C.’s largest health authorities, we know all too well the importance of blood donation. Blood is used every minute of every day at hospitals across the country to treat trauma victims, cancer patients, transplant recipients and surgical patients. Let’s help give back to the blood bank this summer and reach our annual team goal of 80 units. Currently, we are at 51 units.
