Suzie Allen (Logie) new PSM – Critical Care (Respiratory Therapy)
We are very pleased to announce a new member of our Critical Care Leadership Team. Suzie Allen (Logie) has accepted the position of Patient Services Manager – Critical Care (Respiratory Therapy) effective October 20, 2014. As the PSM, Suzie will have responsibility for the Respiratory Therapists and Respiratory Therapy inpatient services at VGH, UBCH, GFS, GPC, and BCCA.
Suzie has been a part of the Critical Care Team for several years, beginning her nursing career at VGH in the Neurosciences program before joining the ICU team. After 19 years on the ICU team, Suzie made the transition to a Research Coordinator role within critical care, and has spent the past 11 years as the Senior Clinical Research Coordinator, Critical Care Medicine, with the UBC Faculty of Medicine. Over the course of her career she has contributed to numerous research initiatives and quality improvement projects. We believe that Suzie’s diverse experience, strong critical care background and passion for collaborative teamwork will ensure her success in this role.
We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their patience while we have been recruiting for this position. In particular, to Patti Volk and Jackson Lam, who have provided interim support and who will continue to provide that support until Suzie starts.
I know that you will join us in congratulating Suzie, and ensuring her success in this role.
