Bike to Work Week Oct. 27 – Nov. 2

Vancouver Coastal Health is excited to celebrate Bike to Work Week from October 27 to November 2, 2014.

Bike to Work Week will involve over 30 celebration stations set up across the cities offering free bike repairs, coffee, snacks and prize draws! You can win tons of great prizes for registering early, growing your team, logging your trips and following BtWW on social media. Check out all of the ways to win here!

How to Join the Fun and Win Prizes?

1. Register

Register for free today as a team member of “VCH Cyclists” to count your ride towards our team goal. If you register by October 15th (or log a practice trip if you are already registered), you will be entered to win the Early Bird Registration Prize — a great Black Loop Panier courtesy of Po Campo and 500 free minutes with car2go Vancouver!

2. Recruit team members

Invite your colleagues to sign up as a team member of “VCH Cyclists”. The more we recruit the higher chance for us to win a pizza party for up to 20 people and other prizes.

3. Connect through social media for prizes

This year, HUB is going to give away prizes on social media so don’t forget to “like” them on Facebook and follow them on Twitter  to stay in the loop. They will also be partnering with 102.7 The Peak to do the ‘Like the Bike’ contest again. You could win a 2014 Revolt 2 courtesy of Giant Bicycles (Retail Value: $999).

4. Ride your bike to work and say “hi” to us

Ride your bike to work and visit any of the 30+ celebration stations between October 27 and November 2. VCH will host a celebration station on Monday, October 27th, from 7:00 AM – 9:30 AM, in front of the VGH Cycling Centre. Don’t forget to stop by during your morning or afternoon commutes to enter the draw! Bring a friend for extra fun! Get free basic bike repairs, coffee (bring-your-own mug is highly encouraged), snacks, maps, prize draws and more!

5. Register your bike commute and log your trips

Don’t forget to log your trips. Each day that you log your bike trip, you will be entered to win a Grand-Prize-A-Day Giveaway. Yes, you read it right!

  1. Eiselle Omampo

    Hi Emily,

Thank you for your message. We are happy to know that our Sunshine Coast colleagues ride their bike to work. Unfortunately, HUB’s Bike to Work Week is for Metro Vancouver only. Come Spring 2015, employees who live outside of Metro Vancouver may register for free to record their participation at BiketoWorkBC (http://www.biketowork.ca/registration), a province-wide bike to work campaign. Thank you.

Is there anything happening for this bike to work week for staff on the Sunshine Coast? It seems to be a missed as “part of VCH”.
