Respiratory Therapy Week – congrats to our team
October 27th to 31st is National Respiratory Therapy Week and here at Vancouver Acute we are celebrating by recognizing our hardworking team.
Each year we award clinical and leadership awards to deserving RTs that strive to make a difference in patient care. This year, we also have our first annual Rookie of the Year Award!
Our 2014 Excellence in Leadership and Professional Practice is awarded to Brigida Naranjo-Lujan the RT at GF Strong Rehab Center. Brigida is a strong patient advocate, a mentor and teacher to orientating RTs and RNs, and a master of trouble shooting equipment. We appreciate all your hard work at GFS and know that patients benefit from your respiratory care.
This years Excellence in Clinical Practice is awarded to Mary-Liz Gabra. Mary-Liz is both a relief charge therapist and CCOT member providing exceptional patient care. She is great team member, patient advocate and always available to lend a helping hand. Thanks for all your hard work – Mary-Liz!
Our 1st annual Rookie of the Year award goes to Don Ta. Don is one of the newest members of our team supporting us as our Respiratory Therapy Technical Support. He works to expedite equipment and finds creative and cost effective solutions to our equipment needs. His hard work is allowing us to provide best practice in a timely manner. Thanks, Don!
