North Shore OASIS presentations lauded as “huge value to our community”

I want to thank VCH for the OASIS Education presentations. I’ve been diagnosed with osteo-arthritis of the knees, hips and hands.

I have been able to fit a number of the OASIS lectures at the West Van Rec Centre into my work schedule and I cannot begin to tell you how useful and informative they are.

The people delivering the materials are so knowledgeable and so helpful. The materials themselves are utterly essential to maintaining an OA sufferer’s health, mental and emotional stability, and physical strength in the face of a degenerative disease.

Every session I’ve attended I’ve learned important information which will mean that I can care for myself, work longer, and be less likely to need the support of my community to function. As an Instructor at BCIT of finance, economics and accounting, I can state that from a tax and social welfare perspective these talks have a huge value to our community.

To provide people with this type of preventative and palliative care is, in the long run, to save the community much in the way of future costs.

I hope you will continue to offer this  invaluable service.
