VCH Richmond Senior Medical Director, Dr. Brenda Wagner, and Richmond COO, Jennifer MacKenzie, rolled up their sleeves for a flu vaccine.

Richmond flu clinics well attended

Business was brisk two flu shot clinics that ran on October 31 and November 3 in the new Patient and Family Resource Centre at Richmond Hospital.

A total of 793 VCH Richmond staff received their annual shot from a Peer Nurse Immunizer at the clinics that ran a full month earlier than they did in 2013.

It’s still not too late to get your vaccine

For more information about the annual VCH flu campaign – including other flu clinic locations – please visit the staff flu page.

Report your immunization

Please report your flu shot within two days of being immunized. Visit https://flu.vch.ca and complete the form. It takes less than one minute to complete.

VCH medical staff (doctors, dentists, midwives and nurse practitioners), fellows and other regulated health professionals (scientific & research staff, podiatrists, psychologists, denturists, etc.) can self-report through one of the following methods:

Win a mini iPad!

Snap a selfie (a photo of yourself) when you get your flu shot and submit it to the VCH Facebook page and be entered to win one of two mini-iPads.

Wear a superhero costume and submit your photo getting a flu shot by November 15. And if you’ll be wearing a mask for the season instead, take a selfie wearing a mask.

No superhero costume? Post your flu shot selfie by December 1.

If you don’t have a Facebook account, email your submission to fluprevention@vch.ca with Super Selfie as the subject. The same deadlines listed above apply.
