Powell River honoured with national endoscopy safety award
Powell River General Hospital’s Endoscopy Team has recently been awarded a national award by the Canadian Association of Gastroenterology (CAG), one of only a handful issued in Canada so far.
“This award is a great reflection on our Endoscopy Team and well-deserved recognition of the quality of care they provide,” says Powell River Director Pat Townsley.
The CAG award is given to hospital teams as part of the association’s Canada-Global Rating Scale, a patient-centred tool that assesses the quality of endoscopic care. Recipients are recognized for their commitment to continuous quality improvement by their participation in the evaluative process, a system that must be maintained annually.
More information on the Canada-Global Rating Scale is available at: https://www.cag-acg.org/uploads/quality/grs_macintosh_feb2013.pdf
