Our upcoming ASFs will be participatory. We’ll be breaking into smaller discussion groups to give you a chance for direct input into VCH Richmond’s renewed service priorities.

Your input will help improve the way we provide care

This week marks the start of 2015’s first series of All-Staff Forums (ASFs). Our ASFs are designed to inform, inspire, engage and celebrate staff across the Richmond Community of Care.

This time, however, we’re doing things a little differently. Our upcoming ASFs will be participatory. We’ll be breaking into smaller discussion groups to give you a chance for direct input into VCH Richmond’s renewed service priorities.

You’re an important piece of the puzzle

Over the past week, a series of new service priorities were developed for VCH Richmond.

We now need to know what you think about these new priorities, as well as hear your voice and your ideas about how you see your expertise reflected in each. After all, you are the people who will be living with these new priorities while you continue to provide high quality front-line care to our patients, clients and residents.

Starting tomorrow, with our first ASF at Minoru Residence, we will elicit your input into our new service priorities by asking you a few questions about each.

“Your thoughts and ideas will help guide the way in which we provide services to the community of Richmond over the coming few years,” said Jennifer MacKenzie, chief operating officer, VCH Richmond. “For all of us to be successful, everyone in VCH Richmond must feel some ownership over these new priorities. That’s why your input is so important.”

I look forward to hearing your feedback as well – Richmond has shown over and over that it can achieve amazing results. Determining the right strategies that will best serve the community is the first step to providing the right care in the best way possible. And it is a way to focus your work so that you know where to put your efforts, and also, what work you can let go of.
