This week, the high quality care provided at Richmond Hospital was highlighted in a Letter to the Editor from Richmond-Steveston MLA John Yap. He credited his full recovery to the dedicated Richmond Hospital Healthy Heart team.

Richmond Hospital also received kind words of praise this week, via the VCH Feedback line. Below is a transcript of the letter that was received by Richmond’s Que family.

“Service beyond our expectations”

I would like to take this opportunity to send my family’s big thanks to Lucy Nash, a case manager at the Richmond Hospital. She delivered service beyond our expectations and the benefits to our family are immeasurable.

When my father was released from the hospital on March 17, we were unprepared for the amount of work involved with delivering his care. The hospital did mention work involved, however we were caught unaware as to the quantity of time required.  As we all have our own careers, and as mom is unable to care for dad, I asked Lucy for urgent assistance. Not only did she address the issue in an immediate manner, but she also accomplished this task proficiently.

Due to Lucy’s assistance, the family not only manages to deliver the care dad needs, but we are now also able to spend a much appreciated quality time with him.
