WANTED: Lost scrubs
The week of April 20 – 24, 2015 laundry services will be hosting “Scrub Amnesty Week”.
We are asking all staff with scrubs that may have accumulated at home or in lockers to return them to the laundry system. The purpose of this exercise is to keep scrub inventories healthy, hygienically clean and readily available for staff members that require them as part of their daily work activities. Keeping scrubs in the laundry system reduces unnecessary replacement costs due to losses and ensures proper laundering and quality control methods are followed.
Staff can return scrubs by placing them into any soiled linen hamper at their respective sites.

Here’s a simple solution to keeping our scrub inventory healthy: Do not allow employees to wear scrubs if they’re not working in areas that require them for hygiene purposes. I see way too many employees wearing hospital scrubs at work, and then wearing them home. It shouldn’t be a free-for-all!
