A new Canadian study finds that the majority of sudden cardiac death cases don’t happen during exercise, at least in young adults. Dr. Andrew Krahn, a cardiologist at VGH, is one of the authors of the study.

A study released Monday said that a significant amount of cardiac arrests in the Canadian province of Ontario happened on otherwise healthy, young individuals, underscoring the need for detecting heart disease early.
