New site helps keep those tickers healthy

The VGH Centre for Cardiovascular Health is excited to launch the new site, vghcardiacrehab.vch.ca.

What information does the site provide for staff?

Having a website would mean that the staff is not limited to regular clinic hours to disseminate information about the program.  It allows the staff to connect with new, current and former participants. The Centre hopes the site will also help engage and encourage those who had a recent diagnosis or event to become actively involved in managing their health and that there is a team ready to help them through this process.

What information does the site provide for patients?

For individuals new to the program the site provides information on the following:

  • Enrollment process
  • What to expect from the program
  • Information on the various specialty clinics

Existing participants can stay up to date with the special events calendar for information on workshops and events and closure dates.  Former participants can also stay in touch by visiting the site for information on the annual Have a Healthy Heart fundraiser.

What is the Centre for Cardiovascular Health?

The VGH Centre for Cardiovascular Health is a comprehensive risk reduction program for individuals who have had a heart attack, coronary angioplasty, open heart surgery, angina, who have heart rhythm issues, and for those who are at risk for developing heart disease.
