Back for more: Urban Poling demonstrations across the region
Too many people were left on the waiting list for the April 1st Urban Poling Demonstration walk. So, we have scheduled another event for Wed. May 6th. AND, our friends at Urban Poling are looking to schedule similar demonstrations for hospital staff at more sites across the region. (Read our previous posting: Sign me up for Urban Poling!)
Urban Poling is a fun, low impact, full body workout that burns 20 to 46% more calories than walking!
So, come join us for the VGH Urban Poling Demonstration
When: Wednesday, May 6th
12:10 p.m.: 20 registrants get acquainted with loaner poles
12:15 p.m.: 30 minute walk around our neighbourhood
Where: VGH Commuter Centre (JPP 1st floor –‐ behind Info Desk);
Or, if you are not able to join us at the Vancouver General Hospital, please fill out our survey so we can gauge interest across the region.
And see you at WednesdayWALK!

My activator poles take 40-50% of the weight off my knees and utilize my upper arm strength.These were recommended by Oasis and are helping me protect and strengthen my knees while delaying the need for a knee replacement. Love them! (Where’s the snow jokes aside!)
