On Saturday, May 16, heavy equipment will be installed on the UBC Hospital (UBCH) campus from 7 to 10 am. The roundabout in front of the UBCH Koerner Pavilion will remain open for patient pick-up and drop-off, but we recommend planning ahead for traffic delays.

Parking and pedestrian access

• Parking: While short-term parking in front of the UBCH Koerner Pavilion and the Centre for Brain Health is limited, the Health Sciences Parkade remains open.

• Pedestrian access: Designated pedestrian crossings, marked pedestrian paths and sidewalks are available for foot traffic. Flag people will be onsite to help people reach their destination safely.

Plan ahead, take your time

Vehicular and pedestrian traffic will remain a challenge for some time. To keep safe in our construction zones, we recommend:

• planning ahead and allowing for more time to reach your destination and to locate parking
• following the designated pedestrian paths and sidewalks to stay safe (please refer to the map above)
