Richmond blood donor clinic on June 3

Vancouver Coastal Health is a Partner for Life with Canadian Blood Services. This means our organization is committed to helping hospital patients by donating blood and giving back to our community. Today, nearly 20 per cent of donations come from the Partners For life Program, a number that is growing every year.

This year our goal is to donate 110 units of blood. To date, VCH has donated a total of 24 units of blood. To help reach our goal, please consider giving at next week’s one-time clinic in Richmond.

Why it’s important
As one of B.C.’s largest health authorities, we know all too well the importance of blood donation. Blood is used every minute of every day at hospitals across the country to treat trauma victims, cancer patients, transplant recipients and surgical patients. Let’s help give back to the blood bank this Spring and reach our annual team goal of 110 units.
