NEW ‘Leading through Influence’ course for leaders
The Management Development Team is pleased to offer a first-time education session called: ‘Leading through Influence.’ This session is designed for staff who are in positions that are required to influence, motivate and lead others without a formal supervisory/management role (i.e. no direct reports).
Session goals
Management development advisors will guide you through useful principles and practices to increase your influence and reflective practice and lead others more effectively in a health care work environment.
Learning objectives
• To understand the role of non-supervisory leaders in health care;
• To understand the principles of effective leadership for health care;
• To understand how to develop different levels of leadership influence as a leader;
• To appreciate the impact of effective personal leadership on leadership influence;
• To develop a plan for intentionally developing your leadership influence.
Who should attend?
The Leading through Influence course is designed for VCH leaders who are not in a formal supervisory/management role and looking to advance their leadership skills for influencing others.
