North Shore staff and physicians take a shine to HealthConnection app and website

A one-stop-shop of accurate information on North Shore health programs is quickly growing in popularity as word about the HealthConnection iPhone app and website spreads amongst North Shore patients, physicians and VCH staff.

Officially launched in fall 2014, the HealthConnection platform allows clinicians to quickly find information on programs operated by VCH and other public and non-profit agencies, as well as some private home health providers that offer services to North Shore residents. With more than 5,000 visitors to the website, including 130+ downloads of the HealthConnection iPhone app and almost 800 users accessing the website from their smartphone device, there’s increased recognition of its convenience.

Content and program info are updated or added regularly – and the mobile app automatically connects to data from the live website – so users know they’re accessing the most up-to-date information available.

Plenty of new information available

Recent HealthConnection additions include:

  • resources for Child & Youth Mental Health
  • Public Health (e.g., immunization clinics)
  • a listing of North-Shore Residential Care Facilities
  • an expanded list of contact information for North Shore-based physicians (family practitioners and specialists) including North Shore walk-in clinics.

When you download the iPhone app or visit the web site you’ll find program descriptions and details including:

  • Location(s)
  • Phone & fax numbers
  • Hours of operation
  • Clients served
  • Referral process
  • Applicable program fees
