Edition #2: Recycling tubing

Second topic: Tubing.

Where should I dispose of clean and empty plastic tubing?

Dispose all clean and empty tubing in the garbage:

Why can’t I recycle clean and empty tubing?

Waste transport and recycling staff perceive any item used in patient treatment to be contaminated. In order to ensure the health and safety of their workers, recycling vendors don’t accept any waste items used to treat patients.

Important: tubing that has blood or bodily fluids goes into the Non-Anatomical waste container.
