The Squamish General Hospital Doctors vs Nurses Ballgame for Squamish Hospice Society 2015 raised more than $5,500.

Squamish General Doctors vs. Nurses Baseball Game for Squamish Hospice Society

On July 18,  Squamish General Hospital doctors and nurses went to bat for the Squamish Hospice Society. This is the second time the staff have played against each other in a friendly match for the district of Squamish to raise funds for the local hospice society. More than $5,500 was raised at the baseball game.

Over the past three years, SGH staff have raised $20,000 for the Squamish Hospice Society through events such as “Hike for Hospice” and “Doctors vs Nurses Baseball Game Fundraiser.”

The Squamish community hopes that one day there will be designated hospice beds available closer to home for the Sea to Sky corridor. Currently, the closest hospice beds are at the North Shore Hospice.
