HSSBC services moving to new organization
On April 1, 2016, the services currently provided by Health Shared Services BC (HSSBC), a division of the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA) will transfer to the new BC Clinical and Support Services (BCCSS) Society.
BCCSS is a not-for-profit society created by the Ministry of Health to promote health in British Columbia by coordinating, managing and/or providing clinical, diagnostic and support services to British Columbia’s health care system.
BCCSS’s Support Services Division will provide Supply Chain, Technology Services and Financial and Employee Services. The Clinical Services Division includes the BC Provincial Blood Coordinating Office and the Agency for Laboratory and Pathology Medicine.
HSSBC intends to make the transition to BCCSS as seamless as possible for all our stakeholders. While there are a number of administrative changes taking place, after April 1, 2016, HA customers will continue to receive Supply Chain (including Accounts Payable), Technology Services as well as Financial and Employee Services (Payroll, Employee Records and Benefits, Accounts Receivable) in the same way as today and should continue to use the same contacts used currently.
