Celebrate our VGH angels: dedication event on Dec.12 at 10 am

Please join us at this year’s Angel Dedication Event – sponsored by CBC –  at Vancouver General Hospital (VGH) and celebrate the many “Angels” around us and working in our hospitals.

Every year, grateful patients and hospital supporters dedicate “Angels” to celebrate a loved one or pay tribute to a special doctor or nurse at our hospitals. Visit the Winter Wonderland display in the Diamond Family Courtyard (Jim Pattison Pavilion, VGH) and read the special dedications in honour of your colleagues.

Come gather in our Winter Wonderland on Wed, Dec 12 at 10am for the Angel Dedication Event hosted by Gloria Macarenko, co-host CBC News Vancouver.

Hear the story of this year’s campaign spokesperson – Christine Stathers, a cystic fibrosis patient and double lung transplant recipient. Her surgeon Dr. John Yee will also be part of the event.

Festivities also include angelic treats, live performances by the Eric Hamber Secondary School Jazz Choir and Little Flower Academy Chamber Choir, and an excerpt from the holiday classic, The Nutcracker, performed by GOH Ballet.

Over 11 years, the Angel Campaign has raised over $2 million to help fund critically-needed medical equipment for Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Hospital and GF Strong Rehab Centre.
