VIDEO: A living hell

Dr. Ho, an emergency physician, remembers the day a patient with traumatic amnesia arrived at the VGH ED.

While racing another driver, the patient had crashed his vehicle. His wife was in the passenger seat and, sadly, she didn’t survive.

After advising the patient of his wife’s passing, Dr. Ho recounts what happened next.

“I can’t forget this — two minutes later he asked me the same question again. If there’s a living hell, he was going through it.”
