No one “fell short of excellent”

Sometimes a vacation doesn’t go as planned.

One couple from Edmonton didn’t expect to see the inside of a hospital, but when they needed excellent care, they were glad to be at VGH.

To all parties concerned,

My husband recently had a 2-week stay in Ward 7A of the Pattison Pavilion.

We were under considerable stress as we were on vacation from Edmonton when he fell and broke his femur at Granville Island. From the time we arrived at the Emergency Department until his discharge 2 weeks later, we have nothing but praise for the capable, professional and compassionate care he received. Every single person we had contact with treated us with respect and caring concern. We noticed this same level of professionalism from staff towards many other patients as well.

There are too many names to mention, and I would be afraid that I would miss some, but I can truly say that I did not encounter even one staff member that fell short of excellent!
