On the frontline of B.C.’s overdose crisis

On April 14, 2016, provincial health officer Dr. Perry Kendall declared B.C.’s first public health emergency due to the alarming rise in drug-related overdoses and deaths. At our Vancouver All-Staff Forum on June 8 (2:30 to 3:30 pm), we’ll focus on this historical announcement and what it means for you and our shared patients and clients.

Together, we’ll cover a range of frontline experiences, as well as our services and strategies to save lives. If you’re concerned about a family member, friend or colleague — or if you’re grieving a loss due to a drug overdose — advice on Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) services will be available too.
