Raise your bike IQ

If you commute by bike, or cycle for site-visits, then a road safety course is always a good idea! In truth, most cyclists will say that they don’t need a course but in that case, they’re simply riding on instinct.* Be better than that and join in a fun, practical hands-on class and raise your bike IQ.

In July, HUB is offering reduced rates on their three cycling safety workshops.

  1. Ride the Road – 4.5hr course covering the skills and confidence you need to enjoy cycling in the city.
  2. Practical City Cycling – 2hr commuter skills introductory course that includes a short neighbourhood ride.
  3. Into to City Cycling – 1hr in-class workshop introducing key safety concepts for city cycling.

If your role as a VCH employee involves client or site visits that you might choose to make by bike, VCH could cover the registration fee. Send an email to find out more.

*Author’s note: After decades of commuting by bike I finally signed up for a road safety course. I was amazed at how much I learned and I’ve remained an advocate for ‘riding on more than instinct’ ever since!
