I recently gave birth in Richmond Hospital, and had a c-section. The staff were very supportive, especially Dorothy McKune, I think her last name is. She is an excellent nurse. I felt very warm, and taken care of by her throughout my operation. My husband was shocked, when Dorothy gave me a kiss on my forehead to assure me that everything will beok. She did not hold herself back, and did not think about whether the patient has some sort of sickness. That gesture was very touching. I hope you guys are looking after your staff, and meeting their needs. The other nurses are also really attentive to you, and your baby’s needs.
I had my first child in 2010, and we were clueless on looking after our baby. The nurse’s name that took special care of me, and my baby’s needs was Stephanie Baba. I also had a c-section, therefore, I couldn’t move about properly. Stephanie was very patient and cheerful from the very start. I know how it feels to work 12 hours per shift, and it sometimes can drain you out. I went through labor pains, and she was there comforting me till the end. She is a great asset to your organization. I just hope you will extend my gratefulness to these two individuals for making Richmond Hospital maternity ward the warmest atmosphere there is when giving birth.
Our family will never forget these two angels who made our journeys and experiences at Richmond Hospital as wonderful as they can be.
