Making spirits bright: GFS staff host client Christmas dinner

Our festive volunteers: GF Strong staff volunteered their personal time to bring good cheer and to serve a Christmas dinner with all the fixings to inpatient clients and their loved ones.

This month GF Strong staff continued a time-honoured tradition hosting our centre’s annual client Christmas dinner. Many GF Strong clients are unable to go home for Christmas, so our team brings Christmas to them.

Hosting clients and their loved ones — more than 100 people altogether — staff volunteered their personal time to make this special event possible. From decorating the venue to serving meals, to assisting with clean up … and much, much more, staff brought the meaning of Christmas “home”.

Numerous clients thanked us for helping them celebrate Christmas with their family and friends, especially at this time of their lives, and our team was only too happy to help.
