CEAN Advance Care Planning Team brings home another award!
On Sept 29th the CEAN Advance Care Planning team received a Core Values Award in the category of P2 (public participation) for the Greater Good from the International Association of Public Participation (IAP2). CEAN Coordinator Saori Yamamoto and CEAN ACP Team member Barbara Greenlaw were on hand to receive the award at the awards Gala which took place on a river boat on the St. Lawrence River!
The team was recognized by the judges for using a different peer-led delivery model to reach the target community in the most appropriate way. They also saw it as a unique application of public participation in an area that will have growing need as baby boomers age.
Earlier this year, the CEAN Advance Care Planning team also took home a VCH People First Award. The team is a true example of public participation for the greater good!
Congrats as well to the VCH Keeping Seniors Well team who received an honorable mention in the category of Diversity and Inclusion! It is an honor to be recognized by IAP2 North America for all the good patient and public engagement work we do at VCH!
